How do you sign up for the course?
You must fill in the first contact form on the web page and wait for the automatic answer where it will be indicated how to continue the registration.
How to proceed if I do not receive an automatic response after the first contact form?
If you do not receive the automatic response, please check your SPAM mailbox, if you do not receive the email, please contact the Institute secretary’s office.
Once I receive the email with the directions what should I do?

How do I know if I need a visa to enter Israel?

If I need to request it, what do I do?
Download the template from the web page, fill it in and send it back to the secretariat address together with the following documents: copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months after the end of the course), 2 photos in jpeg format, the letter of authorization from the Bishop or the Superior General in English, a medical report in English.
When do I get admitted?
Admission is sent by email by the secretariat of the Institute after registration and complete documentation.
Should I arrange my own arrival in Jerusalem?
Yes, the airport of reference is Tel Aviv. Once arrived, he has to go autonomously to Notre Dame in Jerusalem taking a collective taxi (Nesher Sherut are yellow van for 10 people). The journey takes about 1 hour and the cost is approximately $20.
Can I get to Notre Dame anytime?
The ND reception offers a 24/7 service. It is advisable to respect for arrival and departure the days indicated on the website.
If I arrive or depart on a day other than those indicated on the site, what should I do?
The booking of extra days is at the expense of the person concerned, as well as the payment is to be made directly with the structure.

What language is the course in?
The two official languages of the course are English and Spanish. We will try to ensure all activities (visits, celebrations, retreats) in the two languages providing the presence of native speakers for each language group. In some cases there will be simultaneous translation.
Is it very hot in July?
Yes, the climate can be quite hot but generally dry.
Who can sign up?
Priests, religious, consecrated persons, seminarians, nuns and lay people can register. As far as the laity are concerned, the participation of some specific professional figures is preferred: doctors, psychiatrists, psychiatrists, teachers, lawyers, police officers, pastoral agents, faithful belonging to prayer groups, provided they are authorized by a letter from their parish priest and signed by the bishop.
What kind of course is it?
It is a theoretical course that proposes a careful academic and interdisciplinary research on the theme of exorcism and the prayer of liberation.
After taking the course, do you receive a certificate of qualification?
It should be remembered that, according to the Code of Canon Law 1172, the ministry of exorcism concerns only the Bishop and the priests commissioned by him. Therefore, this course does not entitle anyone to exercise this ministry.

I'm a lay person but I don't have a referring parish priest to ask for a letter of introduction.
It is possible to ask for a letter of introduction to another priest who knows you as long as it is countersigned by the bishop.
Is there a facsimile of the priest's letter of introduction?
No, it has to be a simple letter authorizing participation in the course. It must be on stationery with an original signature.
Is the Bishop's signature and stamp on the priest's letter of introduction obligatory?
Yes, it’s mandatory.
I'm a priest, should I just send the celebret?
Yes, as long as it’s valid.
I'm a priest, and my celebret's expired.
Please ask the bishop or superior to write a letter of introduction.
I'm a seminarian, should I request the letter from the Superior?
Yes, for seminarians the letter of presentation from the Superior will be necessary, as well as for all consecrated men and women.
What should I write in the letter of motivation?
The reasons why you intend to take the course. We remind you that the course is mainly aimed at priests, but some categories of lay people are admitted as long as they present the required documentation in a complete manner.
Once I fill out the second form am I enrolled?
Once the secretariat receives the second form, it will pass the information to the admission committee. In case of a positive answer in 2 or 3 days, the registration will be done and the admission email will be sent.
When is the payment made?
Once you have received the admission email from the secretariat you can proceed with the payment. Instructions can be found in the email itself.
Can I pay on the day the course starts?

When will you receive the program?
The program will be sent by email and published on the website a couple of weeks before the start of the event.
I paid, but I have to withdraw from the class.
In this regard, the rules contained in the terms and conditions signed at the time of registration shall apply.

Will it be possible to receive conference material?
All material made available by the speakers will be sent to the participants. The modalities will be explained during the course.
What is the access to Office 365 received in the admission email for?
All university members receive this account which can be useful for internal communications and digital tools related to the platform.
Where can I stay during the course?

The reservation and payment of the accommodation are the responsibility of the person concerned.
What does the course price include?
The price of the course includes: the 5 lunches from Monday to Friday and the translation into Italian if the speaker speaks in another language.
It does not include: accommodation.
What does the price of translation include?
The price of translation includes simultaneous translation into English and Spanish. A minimum number is required to activate the French translation.
How to proceed if you need a visa to enter Italy?

Will there be a chance to celebrate Mass?
A mass is scheduled every day at 07.45 a.m. in the university chapel on the first floor. The celebration will be in Italian.
What are the course schedules?
Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon.
Will a certificate of attendance be issued at the end of the course?
At the end of the course a certificate of attendance will be issued, which has no academic validity, nor does it issue credits.
Who can sign up?
Rectors, vice-rectors, spiritual directors, bursars, and all permanent formators who hold a position in a seminary may enrol in the course.

When will I be admitted?
Admission is subject to the correct completion of the registration form and the sending of the required documentation. As soon as the secretariat receives the request, it will communicate the applications to the Scientific Committee, which is responsible for their examination and approval. Once the secretary’s approval is received by the committee, the secretary will communicate it to the student.
What are the dates?

Please remember to respect the day of arrival and the day of departure. In case of early arrival or late departure compared to the dates indicated, additional days of stay will be considered extra and are not included in the cost of the course, therefore, must be paid directly to the property.
What does the course fee include?
The cost of the course includes: full board, single room accommodation, cultural visits, visa application procedure, medical insurance and legal fees.
Does not include: extra days, plane tickets and personal medical expenses.
Is the laundry service included in the price?
Yes, laundry service is included in the price. More instructions will be given during the course.
I need an entry visa to Italy.
To begin the visa process, you are asked to fill in the second form, entering all the data correctly and attaching the required documentation. It is also essential to send the original letter of the Bishop signed and stamped by the Apostolic Nuncio. Without this document in original it is not possible to begin the process, although it is useful, however, to anticipate the documents in the form.
What are the steps of the visa application process?
- The secretariat, after receiving the candidate’s documents, shall prepare the letter of invitation, which will be stamped by the Vatican Secretary of State;
- The secretariat will send the invitation letter to the applicant through DHL only if the applicant has correctly indicated the address to which it should be sent;
- Once the letter has been received, the applicant must contact the nunciature and then the Italian embassy/consulate in his/her country.
Is it possible to apply for a scholarship?
The Institute does not have the possibility to grant scholarships for this course but it could indicate some associations to which the request could be addressed. Please note, however, that the enrolment process and the scholarship application process are separate and autonomous from each other.
Is it possible to take a few days off during the course?

When can I make the payment?
It is possible to make the payment only after receiving the admission email.

Yes, in addition to some places in the city of Rome, significant from a spiritual and cultural point of view, a full day visit to Assisi will be organized.
